What MakeHumanAI is
Welcome to MakeHumanAI, a free online toolkit built for one frustrating moment everyone knows: you have filled in an entire application, you reach the final upload button, and the portal rejects your file — "Photo must be under 50KB", "Signature must be under 20KB", "PDF must not exceed 200KB". MakeHumanAI turns that dead end into a ten-second fix. Our tools resize photographs, compress signature scans, shrink PDF documents and validate files against real application requirements, so your submission goes through the first time.
Our core mission
Every day, millions of applicants encounter upload rejections on government, academic and employment portals because their photos, digital signatures or PDF documents exceed strict size caps — such as 50KB for passport photographs, 20KB for signature scans, or 200KB for PDF attachments. These limits are rarely explained and almost never forgiven. Our mission is to remove that barrier for everyone: no software to install, no account to create, no fee to pay, and no technical knowledge required. Who we serve
Most of our visitors are visa and passport applicants, immigrants, students, job seekers and remote workers — in particular people preparing applications in the United States, the United Kingdom and across Europe: a US visa (DS-160) photo at exactly 600×600 pixels, a Green Card DV Lottery entry under 240KB, a Schengen biometric photograph at 35×45mm, a UK passport digital photo, a Canada visa or permanent residence photograph, and the supporting documents that go with them, such as certificates, ID copies and bank statements compressed to a portal's size limit. Whatever the form, the pattern is the same — a strict file rule standing between you and a submitted application — and that is exactly where our tools help.
New in October 2026: premium tools, still completely free
We keep adding the tools applicants ask for. The latest additions include an HEIC to JPG Converter for iPhone photos that portals refuse to accept, a Signature Background Remover that turns a signature photo into a clean transparent PNG, batch mode that resizes many photos at once and downloads them as a single ZIP, a Smart Crop framing guide with face-position lines on the DV Lottery checker and passport maker, and a Photo Enhancer that fixes dark or dull photos before validation. Privacy by design, not by promise
MakeHumanAI is built on a privacy-first, client-side architecture. Every tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas APIs: your photographs, signature scans and PDF documents are processed in your own device's memory and are never uploaded to, transmitted across, or stored on any server — ours or anyone else's. There is no account system and no file database. Closing or refreshing the tab destroys all temporary processing data instantly. We designed it this way deliberately: a passport photo or a signature is among the most sensitive data a person has, and the safest place for it is on your own device. How the site stays free
MakeHumanAI is supported by advertising, which lets us keep every tool free for every visitor, with no premium tier and no watermarks. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with any government agency, embassy or educational institution — please always confirm final file requirements with the official portal for your application, as set out in our Disclaimer.
